A community space for the Heatherwood Neighborhood.

Shared green space and flatiron views in the heart of the Heatherwood neighborhood.

Parker Park is supported by an annual assessment fee for houses in the 1st filing and run by a group of neighborhood volunteers. The goal is to maintain a peaceful community space for all to enjoy.

What do your fees pay for?

The fees for Parker Park cover general maintenance of the park. The maintenance includes grass cutting, irrigation, tree care, etc. For more information click below.

Named after Gene & Denise Parker

Gene and Denise Parker moved to the Heatherwood neighborhood in the early 1970s. Through their efforts, the 1st filing park was founded and the Heatherwood neighborhood could enjoy a beautiful green space with views of the flatirons and beyond. The park truly adds value to residents’ lives, and to our neighborhood as a whole.

For decades, you could find the Parkers enjoying the green grass, lounging on park benches, and waving to their neighbors. In 2020 the park was officially renamed Parker Park and commemorated with a sign. We’re forever grateful that the Parkers had the foresight to save this parcel of land and make it into something we all can enjoy.

“Nature surrounds us, from parks and backyards to streets and alleyways. Next time you go out for a walk, tread gently and remember that we are both inhabitants and stewards of nature in our neighborhoods.

— David Suzuki
